OUR NAME
"Doxa" is the Greek word meaning glory and all the glory and honor belongs only to God. Every endeavor this local assembly persues is for the sole purpose of glorifying God by furthering His Kingdom. Honestly, it all boils down to one thing, the only reason we exist: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. And just as He gave we must also give of ourselves by taking the love of God and the good news of salvation to the world through the power of Jesus Christ.
Many people ask about the "Church Without Walls" part of our name. It's as simple as it sounds. The Kingdom of God is not bound by any walls of any church. As a matter of fact, the Kingdom has come and we are to labor in its fields. Those fields lie outside our four walls. We are commanded to go beyond our building, teaching and preaching the gospel to all the corners of the earth. As Matthew 28:16-20 says "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"
